Lawrence Adelson

Playwright / Lyricist

Lawrence Adelson is a graduate of the Second City Chicago Training Center and the Chicago Dramatists' Musical Theater writing program. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild.

Mr. Adelson co-wrote "Billy and the Potato Powered Time Machine". This rock and roll fairy tale was an official selection of the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival 2020 and was awarded Most Promising Musical and Best Direction.

Larry wrote for the Chicago production of the weekly sketch show "Big News" as well as other sketch comedy shows, and has appeared on the Onion News Network. Current projects include book and lyrics for the original musical "Mother of the Bride" with music by Gregory Becker.
